I just finished reading Stargirl by Jerry Spinelli, I bought it yesterday at RobManila. I started reading it at McDonald`s, while waiting for my mom`s conference to be over. I would say it is a Good Read. Taking that I`m not a bookworm and I don't love books because I`m more of a magazine and comics type and even though I`m a choosy reader said my sister, which is somehow true. Haha. I really loved this book.
Anyways, Stargirl is a must-read book, coming from a slacker like me, who almost read books only because it`s required or something needed at school. But this book is different. The story Stargirl, will make you think over things. And somehow it may even change your perspective in life, but only if you read it seriously, not only because for the sake of reading it. It should be read with the heart not only the eyes. Haha. Seriously.
It is a story that should be read by all the " Young Adults ", us mainly because it focuses mostly on the lives of young people or teenagers. As the story progresses it showed some of the conflicts being faced by adolescents. It focuses on the problem of FITTING IN or as they say following the STATUS QUO. Showing that the individuality of oneself is being set aside to be able to get the approval of others. Haha. So, that`s it. These are some of my opinions on the book. I won`t spoil the story for you, just read it and see it for yourself.
