Thank God for Tv, because I was still able to watch the Final Game of ADMU vs DLSU. Though watching it Live at Araneta would have been so GOOD. Anyway, I`m entitled to my own opinion so I`m here to share it.

With Chris Tiu back on his game and the team still as strong as ever, it was impossible to stop the Blue Eagles. They again played as a team, giving every player a chance to hold the ball. They also put their heart into the game, and they have set their minds on winning only. It was a good Final game, especially for Chris Tiu and Yuri Escuetta who are already on their final year. Finally, they got the Championship they have been waiting for years. And may I say, it is also well deserved. What Coach Pumaren said about the worst officiating was kind of unfair for the Blue side. Sure, it was kind of wrong to put out Maierhofer from the game for 2 Technical Fouls, but when La Salle was being called out to receive their trophy and medals and NO ONE showed up. That was just wrong. Some sportsmanship would have done them some good.

I know some would say, "Syempre masakit yun, natalo sila." Well they need to suck it up, because Ateneo(or any other school for that matter) have already felt what the Archers were going through. But did they complain? NO. Rumors are spreading out that the DLSU would file a complain, well that's all fucked up(sorry for the foul language). They should settle it where it matters, In court.

So people on the Green side, don't be bitter. That's Life, you just need to get used to it.

Welcome your new Champions, The One and Only.
Ateneo Blue Eagles!! :D

This would make it official that my blog is ALIVE again. Haha. School has been busy. Really. Quizzes. Assignments. Term Paper. and especially the Retreat. Love you Dorm B!!! XD But with that all gone I can already update my blog. Snippets only, 'cause finals is already near. AGAIN. Tss. So fast.

Anyway, I`m not here to ramble about school. I`m here to give my opinion on the Game One of the Championship: ADMU vs DLSU finals. I won`t point out the obvious, you know which side I`m on. Haha. :) So let's get it going. Wait, for the record whatever I say here is my opinion. Mine, got it? So please no violent reactions. I will write what I`ve observed, you read if you want.

This Finals really is a big deal for both schools. I'm sure some of you have read the countless articles about this series. And with the First Game already done, the crowd is wanting more.

I`m really thrilled that Ateneo won the first game. It was a nice victory, but I would personally say that the game wasn't really that good. I don't know if both teams were just really nervous about the game but the 1st Qtr was a real mess. They can't pass the ball properly, some even threw the ball outside court. But atleast they were able to gain composure.

What made them win:
-- All I can say is that Ateneo played as a team not individually, they know how to share the ball. They don't depend on one person only, they use the strong traits of each player. And I guess the Blue side needs to thank Coach Norman Black for this. He saw the potential of each player, and he developed it. He has set up a strong front line for the Eagles. This game only proved that the team is well-balanced, they could still function even though their best players were not in the court. The 7 blocks by Baclao really helped. The 3 pointers by Jai Reyes made Ateneo take the lead. Al-Hussani still proved that he is one of their star players, with his 31 pts. Yuri Escueta, had set up a great play for them and he's passes to Al-Hussani or any other player who can have the sure shots made Ateneo take the lead a little further. Same goes for Chris Tiu. Long, Salamat, Nkemakolam were also good. Buenafe also proved that being a Rookie didn't matter.

Their weakness:
- Foul trouble, really I was like "Paramihan ba ng foul ang game na 'to?"
- "Butterfinger", they were sometimes really careless on handling the ball.
- Emotions?, sorry but really some of them were so intense. Adrenaline, I guess. :p

Now for La Salle.

-- They were strong as well, but they need to be able to play as a team to beat Ateneo for the 2nd game. The team focused on JV Casio and Maierhofer, when they still have a lot of strong players. Like Atkins, Barua, Malabes, Revilla, and Villianueva. They also had a lot of Foul Trouble. They also need to have a stronger defense.

Guess that's it. Game 1 is over. This blog is almost finished. Just want to share some side comments. I was really mad at some calls of the Refs. Tss. And Mangahas was BLAH! Haha. I find it really funny when Al-Hussani, Baclao, Jai "Ninoy" raised their hands because they don't know who fouled Maeirhofer. Good boys, Honest eh. HAHA. :))

Anyway, That's it. Update you again when I can. Coming Next: Game 2, Thursday!! XD TTFN.
